Service Member Companion Program
Protecting those who protect us. When service members deploy,
BlackSky provides safe, structured housing for their animals near
Fort Carson, Peterson and Schriever Space Force Bases, the Air
Force Academy, and NORAD.
- Full boarding and daily care for dogs and cats
- Exercise, nutrition, and medical attention
- Reintegration and transition support when owners return
- Volunteer buddy pairing for each animal where possible
The goal is simple: no service member should have to surrender a
pet in order to serve their country.
Safe Haven Program
A refuge for both people and pets. Through partnerships with
shelters and outreach groups, BlackSky provides temporary housing
for animals belonging to families escaping domestic violence.
- Confidential and secure animal housing
- Veterinary and behavioral care
- Emotional support and partner coordination
- Reunification or permanent rehoming, depending on the case
Healing should not mean losing the one that kept you safe.
Farmstead Program
Sustainable, humane, and purpose-driven care for goats and
poultry. Our goats and chickens live freely, graze naturally,
and contribute to a larger regenerative cycle that gives back to
the land.
- Humane herd management and breeding
- Milk production for future goat-milk-based products
- Soil and pasture enrichment through natural grazing
- Youth and community education on sustainable animal care
Cattle Stewardship Program
Our cattle are raised on open pasture in South Cheyenne Canyon,
surrounded by clean air and fresh water. They live with dignity,
never crowded and always respected.
- Rotational grazing and natural forage
- Humane handling and gentle processing practices
- Transparent care and lifecycle management
- Nutrient cycling through compost and soil restoration
We honor their lives by ensuring they are lived well.
Land and Forest Restoration Program
Restoring the land protects every living thing. BlackSky is
actively working with CSFS, USFS, and NRCS EQIP-related
processes to improve forest health and water stability.
- Selective thinning and habitat preservation
- Internal fencing made from forest material
- Wildfire fuel reduction and soil stabilization
- Stream restoration and wildlife corridor protection
The Yeti Foundation
Awareness saves lives. The Yeti Foundation focuses on educating
the public about plant toxicity in homes and gardens, with a goal
of creating a national warning-label program for plants that are
dangerous to cats and dogs.
- Public awareness and labeling initiatives
- Veterinary partnerships and emergency education
- Advocacy for pet-safe retail practices
It is inspired by Yeti, the cat who taught BlackSky how fragile,
and how powerful, love can be.
